The Marketing Association of Australia and New Zealand is a national independent, non-profit, educational and professional body concerned with:
- Providing marketing education and training; marketing information; and practical marketing tools and resources for marketers.
- Developing and maintaining the on-going professional standards and personal development for marketing practitioners, students and academics.
- The representation of marketing subjects and views.
- The presentation and exchange of ideas concerning marketing, management and business in general.
The Marketing Association as an independent Not-for-profit body receives no funds from Government. Its income is derived from subscriptions, contributions and the proceeds of seminars, and publications.
The Marketing Association is governed by a Chairman and a national council through an Executive Director. Direction of the education program its courses is through the Executive Director of the Association with the assistance of an Academic Advisory Council.
The Association has been active for some time in assisting various Colleges and Universities and other institutions develop and conduct courses, as well as conducting its own educational programs.
Representative and Pro bono Work
The Marketing Association has represented marketers on a number of government and educational institution advisory committees and continues to offer advice on marketing and educational matters, nationally and internationally. Members of the Association regularly speak at industry seminars and forums. The Association also provides free advice and practical support to many individuals and organisations internationally.
